TRANSFER OF EQUITY

A Transfer of Equity is when someone's name is either added to the ownership of a property or someone's name is removed. Common reasons for wanting to transfer ownership include adding a partner or removing an ex-partner from your title deeds, if a property is held in the joint names of two people and one person wishes to buy out the other, altering the share percentage in a jointly owned property, transferring a property between family members or gifting a property.
